Your website is often the first serious look a foreign buyer takes at your company. In a few seconds they decide whether you are a capable, reliable supplier — or someone to skip.

Use this checklist to see how ready your site is.

Products and specifications

  • Every product family has its own page.
  • Grades, sizes, standards and tolerances are listed in tables, not only in PDFs.
  • Both metric and imperial sizes are shown where buyers use them.
  • Downloadable catalogs and spec sheets are available.

Proof of quality

  • Quality certifications (for example ISO 9001) are shown with certificate numbers.
  • Testing facilities and inspection options are explained.
  • A sample mill test certificate is available on request.
  • Photos of your plant, machines and packing are real, not stock images.

Easy inquiries

  • Every product page has a short RFQ form.
  • The form asks for grade, size, quantity and destination port.
  • Email, phone and WhatsApp are easy to find.
  • Someone replies to every inquiry within 24 hours.

Built for international buyers

  • Content is written in clear, international English.
  • Key pages are available in the languages of your main markets.
  • Incoterms you work with (FOB, CIF and so on) are mentioned.
  • Export experience is visible: countries served, typical lead times, packing standards.

Technical health

  • The site loads quickly on mobile.
  • It uses HTTPS.
  • Each page has a unique title and description for Google.
  • Analytics and Google Search Console are set up.

How did you score?

If you ticked fewer than 15 boxes, buyers are probably leaving before they write to you. Start with products and inquiries — those two sections have the biggest effect on the number of RFQs you receive.
